Self-Employment Income Support Scheme – Fourth grant opens later this month
Self Employment

The fourth grant for self-employed workers covers the months February to April 2021 and is open for claims from late April through to May 2021.

How much is the grant?

Up to 80% of three month’s trading profits, capped at a total of £7,500.00, paid in one full amount.

Who is eligible?

Eligibility is based on submitted 2019-20 tax returns, which should mean that more people are able to claim than previously such as those who were newly self-employed in the 2019-20 tax year.

Previous tax years earnings will be looked at by HMRC if you are not eligible based on your 2019-20 tax return. You must have been trading both 2019-20 and 20-2021 tax years to claim.

Your trading must be impacted by Coronavirus so that you are either:

  • Still trading but at a reduced level due to Coronavirus
  • Temporarily stopped trading due to Coronavirus

You must declare that:

  • You plan to continue trading
  • That you reasonably believe your business has been and will continue to be affected by Coronavirus.
